What this app is
Compound Life is a three-screen demonstration of compound interest that asks you to guess before it answers. You set a monthly amount, a growth rate and a number of years; you commit to a number; the app shows you the real one, the gap between the two, and then what each year of delay would cost.
Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no login and no server. Everything works from the first launch.
Does it work without internet?
Yes, completely — including on the very first launch. The app contains no networking code at all.
Why are all the amounts in Vietnamese đồng?
The app has no exchange rate and never converts, in any language. What it demonstrates is a ratio — how much of the final figure was made by the money rather than by you — and that ratio is identical in every currency. The number you should watch is the gap between the two lines, not the unit.
How do I change the language?
Tap the gear on the first screen, then Language. The change applies immediately and is remembered.
One exception: the photo permission prompt follows your iPhone's language rather than the app's, because iOS resolves that text before the app runs.
Why does it ask for photo access?
Only when you tap Save this picture on the third screen. The app asks for the narrowest access iOS offers: it can add one image and can never read anything already in your library. Declining disables nothing else.
Where is my data, and how do I delete it?
On your iPhone, and nowhere else. Settings → Your data → Export my data shows you everything the app has stored. Reset the app erases all of it. Deleting the app does the same.

There's no recalculate button.
Deliberate. The chart follows the sliders as you move them. Touch anywhere on the chart to read a single year.
Is this investment advice?
No. The growth rate is an assumption you chose, and the app makes no claim that any such rate exists or will continue. Every screen showing a result says the same thing: this is a simulation, not a prediction, and not investment advice. For decisions about your own money, talk to someone qualified to advise you.
Is there an iPad or Android version?
Not at present. Version 1.0 is an iPhone app, in portrait, on purpose.

Không có mạng thì dùng được không?
Được, hoàn toàn — kể cả ở lần mở đầu tiên. Ứng dụng không chứa một dòng mã mạng nào.
Sao mọi số tiền đều là đồng Việt Nam?
Ứng dụng không có tỷ giá và không bao giờ quy đổi, ở bất kỳ ngôn ngữ nào. Thứ nó cho thấy là một tỉ lệ — bao nhiêu phần của con số cuối cùng là do tiền làm ra chứ không phải do bạn — và tỉ lệ đó giống hệt nhau ở mọi đồng tiền. Con số đáng nhìn là khoảng cách giữa hai đường, không phải đơn vị.
Đổi ngôn ngữ ở đâu?
Chạm bánh răng ở màn hình đầu tiên, rồi chọn Ngôn ngữ. Đổi xong áp dụng ngay và được nhớ lại.
Một ngoại lệ: hộp thoại xin quyền Ảnh chạy theo ngôn ngữ của iPhone chứ không theo ngôn ngữ trong ứng dụng, vì iOS xử lý đoạn chữ đó trước khi ứng dụng chạy.
Sao ứng dụng xin quyền truy cập Ảnh?
Chỉ khi bạn chạm Lưu tấm ảnh này ở màn hình thứ ba. Ứng dụng xin mức truy cập hẹp nhất mà iOS có: nó thêm được một tấm ảnh và không bao giờ đọc được bất cứ thứ gì đã có trong thư viện. Từ chối cũng không làm hỏng thứ gì khác.
Dữ liệu của tôi nằm ở đâu, xoá thế nào?
Nằm trên iPhone của bạn, không ở đâu khác. Cài đặt → Dữ liệu của bạn → Xuất dữ liệu cho bạn xem mọi thứ ứng dụng đã lưu. Đặt lại ứng dụng xoá sạch. Gỡ ứng dụng cũng vậy.

Cố ý. Biểu đồ chạy theo thanh trượt ngay khi bạn kéo. Chạm vào bất kỳ chỗ nào trên biểu đồ để đọc một năm cụ thể.
Đây có phải lời khuyên đầu tư không?
Không. Tỉ lệ tăng trưởng là một giả định do bạn chọn, và ứng dụng không hề khẳng định mức lãi ấy có thật hay sẽ còn tiếp diễn. Mọi màn hình có kết quả đều nói cùng một câu: đây là mô phỏng, không phải dự báo, và không phải lời khuyên đầu tư. Với những quyết định về tiền của bạn, hãy nói chuyện với người đủ chuyên môn.
Có bản cho iPad hay Android không?

常见问题
需要账号吗？
不需要。没有注册、没有登录、没有服务器。首次打开就能用全部功能。
没有网络能用吗？
完全可以——包括第一次打开。应用里根本没有网络代码。
为什么金额都是越南盾？
应用没有汇率，在任何语言下都不换算。它展示的是一个比例——最后那个数字里有多少是钱自己挣的而不是你挣的——而这个比例在任何币种下都完全一样。值得看的是两条线之间的差距，不是单位。
在哪里切换语言？
点第一个屏幕上的齿轮，然后选语言。切换立即生效，并且会被记住。
有一个例外：照片权限提示跟随的是你 iPhone 的语言，而不是应用内的语言，因为 iOS 在应用运行之前就已经处理了那段文字。
为什么会请求照片权限？
只有在你点击第三屏的保存这张图片时才会请求。应用请求的是 iOS 提供的最窄权限：它能添加一张图片，永远读不到照片库里已有的任何内容。拒绝也不会让别的功能停止。
我的数据在哪里，怎么删除？
在你的 iPhone 上，不在别处。设置 → 你的数据 → 导出我的数据可以看到应用存的全部内容。重置应用会全部清除。删掉应用也一样。

找不到“重新计算”按钮。
这是有意的。你拖动滑块时图表就跟着变。点图表上任意位置可以读出某一年的数值。
这算投资建议吗？
不算。增长率是你自己选的假设，应用并不主张这样的收益率真实存在或会持续下去。每个显示结果的屏幕都写着同一句话：这是模拟，不是预测，也不是投资建议。涉及你自己的钱的决定，请与真正有资格的人谈。
有 iPad 版或安卓版吗？
目前没有。1.0 版本是一个 iPhone 应用，仅竖屏，这是有意的选择。

Compound Life est une démonstration en trois écrans de l'intérêt composé, qui vous demande de deviner avant de répondre. Vous fixez une somme mensuelle, un taux de croissance et un nombre d'années ; vous vous engagez sur un chiffre ; l'application vous montre le vrai, l'écart entre les deux, puis ce que chaque année d'attente coûterait.
Questions fréquentes
Faut-il un compte ?
Non. Ni inscription, ni connexion, ni serveur. Tout fonctionne dès le premier lancement.
Fonctionne-t-elle sans internet ?
Entièrement, oui — y compris au tout premier lancement. L'application ne contient aucun code réseau.
Pourquoi tous les montants sont-ils en dongs vietnamiens ?
L'application n'a aucun taux de change et ne convertit jamais, dans aucune langue. Ce qu'elle montre est un rapport — quelle part du chiffre final a été produite par l'argent plutôt que par vous — et ce rapport est identique dans toutes les devises. Le chiffre à regarder est l'écart entre les deux courbes, pas l'unité.
Comment changer la langue ?
Touchez la roue dentée sur le premier écran, puis Langue. Le changement s'applique immédiatement et il est mémorisé.
Une exception : la demande d'autorisation photo suit la langue de votre iPhone et non celle de l'application, car iOS traite ce texte avant que l'application ne démarre.
Pourquoi demande-t-elle l'accès aux photos ?
Uniquement lorsque vous touchez Enregistrer cette image sur le troisième écran. L'application demande l'accès le plus restreint qu'iOS propose : elle peut ajouter une image et ne peut jamais lire ce qui se trouve déjà dans votre photothèque. Refuser ne désactive rien d'autre.
Où sont mes données, et comment les supprimer ?
Sur votre iPhone, et nulle part ailleurs. Réglages → Vos données → Exporter mes données vous montre tout ce que l'application a enregistré. Réinitialiser l'application efface tout. Supprimer l'application fait de même.

Il n'y a pas de bouton « recalculer ».
C'est délibéré. Le graphique suit les curseurs pendant que vous les déplacez. Touchez le graphique n'importe où pour lire une année précise.
Est-ce un conseil en investissement ?
Non. Le taux de croissance est une hypothèse que vous avez choisie, et l'application n'affirme nullement qu'un tel taux existe ou se maintiendra. Chaque écran affichant un résultat porte la même ligne : ceci est une simulation, ce n'est pas une prévision et ce n'est pas un conseil en investissement. Pour les décisions concernant votre argent, parlez à quelqu'un dont c'est le métier.
Existe-t-il une version iPad ou Android ?
Pas pour l'instant. La version 1.0 est une application iPhone, en portrait, à dessein.

É preciso conta?
Não. Não há registo, não há início de sessão, não há servidor. Tudo funciona logo na primeira abertura.
Funciona sem internet?
Sim, por completo — incluindo na primeira abertura. A aplicação não contém qualquer código de rede.
Porque estão os valores todos em dongues vietnamitas?
A aplicação não tem taxa de câmbio e nunca converte, em língua nenhuma. O que mostra é uma proporção — que parte do valor final foi feita pelo dinheiro e não por si — e essa proporção é idêntica em qualquer moeda. O número a observar é a distância entre as duas linhas, não a unidade.
Como mudo a língua?
Toque na roda dentada no primeiro ecrã e escolha Língua. A mudança aplica-se de imediato e fica guardada.
Uma exceção: o pedido de permissão de fotografias segue a língua do seu iPhone e não a da aplicação, porque o iOS trata desse texto antes de a aplicação arrancar.
Porque pede acesso às fotografias?
Só quando toca em Guardar esta imagem no terceiro ecrã. A aplicação pede o acesso mais estreito que o iOS oferece: pode acrescentar uma imagem e nunca consegue ler o que já está na sua biblioteca. Recusar não desativa mais nada.
Onde estão os meus dados, e como os apago?
No seu iPhone, e em mais lado nenhum. Definições → Os seus dados → Exportar os meus dados mostra-lhe tudo o que a aplicação guardou. Repor a aplicação apaga tudo. Apagar a aplicação faz o mesmo.

Não há botão de recalcular.
É propositado. O gráfico segue os cursores enquanto os move. Toque em qualquer ponto do gráfico para ler um ano em concreto.
Isto é aconselhamento de investimento?
Não. A taxa de crescimento é um pressuposto que escolheu, e a aplicação não afirma de forma alguma que tal taxa exista ou se mantenha. Todos os ecrãs com resultados trazem a mesma linha: isto é uma simulação, não é uma previsão e não é aconselhamento de investimento. Para decisões sobre o seu dinheiro, fale com alguém qualificado.
Existe versão para iPad ou Android?
De momento não. A versão 1.0 é uma aplicação para iPhone, na vertical, de propósito.
